On March 20, 2013 the second meeting of the Archaeological club took place at the premises of The Archaeological Center of the Pskov Region. The students of Pskov State University as well as people interested in the history and archaeology of Pskov and Pskov area, who wanted to learn about the work of archaeologists, came to the meeting.
The second meeting of the club was held in the framework of “Estonia, Latvia and Russia. ARCHAEOLOGY, AUTHORITY & COMMUNITY: cooperation to protect archaeological heritage» project. The participants of the meeting got badges with the symbols of the project.
The meeting was dedicated to «The Stone Age period in the territory of the Pskov Region». The participants of the meeting heard about the history of the Stone Age period in the territory of the Pskov Region studies, learned about the main areas of concentration of archaeological monuments of that time period, the theory and methodology of studying the monuments of Stone Age period, saw some of the findings (Neolithic ceramics, polished axes, silicic implements).
The meeting was conducted by Aleskander Mikhailov (“The Archaeological center of the Pskov Region”). The number of participants totaled 9 people.
