On February 20, 2013 the first of this year’s meetings of the Archaeological club took place at the premises of “The Archaeological Center of the Pskov Region”. The students of Pskov State University as well as people interested in the history and archaeology of Pskov and Pskov area, who wanted to learn about the work of archaeologists, came to the meeting. During the meeting they learned about the subproject «ARCHAEOLOGY, AUTHORITY & COMMUNITY: cooperation to protect archaeological heritage»,

about the history of the archaeological club, which was functioning since 1967 at the premises of the historical faculty of Pskov State Pedagogical Institute (Pskov State University), discussed the agenda of the nearest meetings. The plans are to hold meetings of the Archaeological club in the framework of «Estonia, Latvia, Russia» б project two times a month (on the first and third Wednesday of each month) at 18.00 in the conference room of the Archaeological center of the Pskov region. The members of the archaeological club plan to take active part in the project’s events.

The meeting was conducted by Aleskander Mikhailov («The Archaeological Center of the Pskov Region). The number of participants totaled 10 people.
